Quirien Schouten is the Digital Transformation & Customer Experience Manager at Shell, based in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands. With over 18 years of experience at Shell, Quirien has played a pivotal role in driving improvement within Shell’s Marketing businesses. Her team focuses on delivering a market-leading customer experience at an affordable cost by leveraging the latest digital technologies. They aim to enhance both customer and employee experiences, ensuring operations are effective and efficient. Previously, Quirien served as the Retail Marketing Manager for BeNeLux and France, where she developed marketing strategies and identified new trends. She also worked as a Sales Manager for the Indirect Retail Channel, focusing on business development and client relations. Earlier in her career at Shell, she held the position of Contracting & Procurement Executive.

Before joining Shell, Quirien gained experience as an intern at Nolan, Norton & Co. and Praaning Meines, conducting thesis research on the future of mobile banking. She holds a Master’s degree in International Business Science from Maastricht University
