Nitesh Chhapru is the Global Brand Director on Tanqueray & Luxury Gins at Diageo Brands BV, where he leads the global marketing strategy and developing growth driving tools to deliver superior consumer engagement, price inelasticity and business performance across the world.


With over two decades of experience across decorative paints, media and F&B, Nitesh has had the opportunity to work on some leading CPG brands as well as a wide range of functions encompassing marketing, strategy, commercial and business model innovation. At Diageo in his past roles, Nitesh has helped double Diageo’ Scotch Whisky business in India by creating highly distinctive work across the brand portfolio. He also led the creation of Godawan, a luxury India single malt with sustainable values that has been rated as the ‘World’ Best Single Malt’ at 2024 London Spirits Competition. Before Diageo, Nitesh has been an entrepreneur creating insurgent & purpose-led brands in gourmet F&B space such as BUHO, a Belgian craft beer and Under The Mango Tree, an artisanal honey built around inclusive communities


In his current role, Nitesh has been focused on building Tanqueray as an icon in culture with the relaunch of Tanqueray No. TEN and expanding the brand franchise to tap into the rising moderation trend with Tanqueray 0.0. In his spare time, Nitesh enjoys his off-beat travels and is into cross-fit training
