Gareth was appointed Region Vice President, Brand & Customer Experience, Nissan – Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania in  October 2020. In this role, Gareth is responsible for leading the evolution of Nissan’s consumer-facing digital platforms, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience and rolling out new connected car services across Nissan’s vehicle line-up.

Prior to this, Gareth was Electric Vehicle Director for Nissan Europe, a role which encompassed three main areas: infrastructure, sales and marketing for electric vehicles (EVs). The scope of the role included driving sales, launching new EV models, and working with marketing teams to generate awareness of EVs and to encourage long-term consumer behaviour change. He also worked closely with Nissan’s external affairs department to communicate with European governments on the importance of investing in charging infrastructure.
