Chris Goddard has held a number of senior marketing roles across three continents in a career that has spanned twenty years.

As Global Marketing Director for Johnnie Walker, Chris is responsible for leading a global team based in Amsterdam to define and implement the marketing strategy for the world’s number one Scotch whisky.

His current role involves the implementation of the brand’s portfolio strategy, driving performance and is successfully leading the content, communications and digital transformation of Johnnie Walker in the 150 countries it is sold in.

Chris’ tenure at Diageo has included a number of brand marketing roles in London, before leading the innovation agenda for Diageo in Africa.  During this time, he created the new product portfolio and supply chain model that allowed Diageo to profitably compete within mainstream spirit price segments across Nigeria, Cameroon & Ghana.

His experience in innovation led to a role being created for Chris in Singapore, where he relocated to drive market share in underperforming drinks categories across Asia-Pacific, with a focus on premium beer and mainstream spirits.  The commercial success of his efforts secured his current role on Johnnie Walker.

Chris’ entrepreneurial spirit and tenacity to drive teams to deliver high performance have led to his success over the past two decades.

Outside of work, Chris is passionate about mentoring young people in the marketing industry and is an active contributor to industry panels and events.
